Hi all,

example:

i have a top categorie "sport and fitness" and "art and culture" ! Under both top categories is for example a subcategrie "Ballett".

U can make this example with a lot of other Things...not only with "ballett".

for one person is this art and culture for the other sport and fitness. (and for other **censored****censored****censored**.LOL) So i have after a while in both subcategories links but all links are about ballett. is it possible to link both together, that if u click on one ballett subcategorie, doestn matter under what for a top categorie>Ballett and u see all links about "ballett" of both subcategories?

u understand?

i know..its not a big problem..i could only make one "ballett", but with over 1000 categories it would be nice if this is possible and i saw it on some directories...

tx

Hi All
Hi yktan,

i have now 10 times try to add this symbolic mod. I have exactly copy and paste the code and compared it with the one before.
but at least i got always the error in the index.php error in the line 159.
there is "$row['SUBCATS'] = $rs2->GetRows();"

over this line i have add your code yktan..this here
{link no longer active}
do i have made anything wrong? i cant believe..had really made it 10 times.

Hi Timeless, what I mean is can you elaborate on the error that you encountered on line 159. Are there any error messages on the screen, etc?

Hi yktan,

the 2.0 is out now..so i had thinked i install this one new and copy the tpls over and to the end i switch with the config.php to my running database.
but there are many problems for me, cause i run it in german, so i have to find out where everywhere i had translate the text. its a lot of work again..but i will do, if the rest is workin. weired is now, after i had changed everything and would set my config to the regular database i get the same error as before. With before i mean that way, where i had try to implement the symbolik code in the running version. thats the error

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /data/003/web/5u2aracvatvbs58tmcsa/webspace_hgnx5ph2n5/mytestdomain/de/index.php on line 159

in the line 159 is:

$row['SUBCATS'] = $rs2->GetRows();

maybe it has something to do with the mod rewrite MOD?

Hi Timeless,

I'm not sure if I got this correctly, but I take it that you have installed version 2.0 of PHPLD. When you install the script, did you run the installation (/install/index.php)? Your line number is not the same as the line number in version 2.0 PHPLD (that line of code is on line 162 for me) too.

Your problem seems like there is something wrong with your database. The best way to ensure your database is up to date is to run the install script. It would not override your data, so don't worry.

If you still cannot resolve this problem, I may have to look at it for you. PM me your server details (cpanel access) and I'll try to debug for you.

Regards,
York Kie

Hey Timeless,

wrote you a pm about sharing the burden of translations - I already started translating the 2.0 language file and am willing to share. Interested? Drop me a line and we will be able to finish faster... and contribute to the community who provided us with this great script!
