View Full Version : PHPLD v2.1 install error

Ok I have installed v2.0 and 3.0.x on several sites for people. I just tried to setup the latest download version 2.1 for a new directory site. When I try to run the install all that happens is reload of page. I get the install language selet screen but that is it. This install is on a powweb server. I have had great results for several other versions on different servers. Can anyone help.

I have look at the install .js and index/config php code but I cant find any issue. The install just keeps going to the lang select over and over.....:confused:

just found cgi error logs listing this

Go here http://www.scsites.org/directory/install/index.php?step=2 and try to finish the install. If you can't let me know You will need to edit your config file or htaccess or php ini depending on your setup to create a writable session folder ... though I have seen it run no problem without it.

that almost worked. I was able to get to step 3. it died going to step 4. it started to go into the same loop so i set step 4 manually then got errors.
I am contacting support for powweb. I think it is an error with them phpld has always worked for me before.

I will note that we have had a couple of users who had trouble with powweb. I believe a couple got installed okay, but some troubleshooting was needed.

powweb is telling me that files are missing for the install folder
everthing from the download package is their and all chmods are correct.
guess i will need to edit the config step 2 gives server api X cgi errors likley and Session Save Path writable? x

then when i take to step 3 it gets stuck and i cant get to step 4
i dont think i like powweb i miss my cpanel lol
