Question Marks

Can anyone tell me why anytime I edit the top_bar.tpl I wind up with ? question marks after all the links. They sure the hell aint there in the code any Ideas why this is happening to me.

Here look at the top bar see the question marks all I did is remove the search box then repaste it in.

FIRST I PUT A NEW top_bar.tpl file in the site.

I tried something I edited the top_bar.tpl file in notepad and I have had no problems with those question marks. I was using dreamweaver to do the editing in - maybe dreamweaver is adding something in somewhere dreamweaver has been known to do **censored****censored****censored****censored** like that.

I'm glad you posted your solution. I know other people have had this problem at times too.

I've found most of them, but there is still two of the question marks that I can't find. There is on on the bottom left corner of the main page, I believe in the main.tpl and one in the catergory page after the google ad in the main.tpl. I've searched and searched and can't seem to find the extra spaces that is causing this. If any one can give an idea of where to look, but I actaully think I've looked every where.

I'm also using dreamweaver. Maybe I'll just try to start over using notepad.

Ok it's fixed, I just reloaded it and used notepad to edit instead of DreamWeaver

This happens because of the different editor encodings. Make sure your Dreamweaver is saving and opening files using UTF-8 or ISO-8859-1 I think.
