Is there a way that if a link is placed in the directory via the admins panel an email is sent to the site included automaticly?
I need this so I can auto inform people of there site being included in my directory.
Please Please
Thanks for any information you may be able to give
Thanks Guys!

Yes, you first need to configure an email template though.
Log into your control panel, click System, Edit E-Mail Templates, then NEw Template. Create your template, then go to Emailer then Send Email and Add Link. This will send that person an email telling them whatever you set up in your template. Very handy feature! :)

Thanks, Just had a look at the template settings what variables should I use as there are 3 sets?
from phpLinkDirectory configuration:
from Send Email form:
from Send Email and Add Link form:
I've been adding links on - Directory --> Links --> New Link (got more info for listing) can you get this to auto notify send email???
Thanks

The vars from the phpld config are variables you've set in the admin panel. These are things like your directory's name {MY_SITE_NAME}. They can be used in any template.
If you are adding a link and sending an email, you want to use the variable set from Send Email and Add Link form. Look at the following email template:
Content visible to registered users only.
This will produce the following email:
Content visible to registered users only.

There is no way to use the template in the way you give the example.
If I choose "Template Type":Eamail and Add Link I can use the variable
{EMAIL_LINK_URL} - Directory page where link is added
But thta is really useless as I can no longer use the template at the NOTIFICATIONS area as it is not of type: Link Owner Notif.
That is really ridiculous!
What I want to do is notify the owner of the link with "Submit notif.:" describing in the mail the exact url on my site where his link is located.
Why would someone need Email Template Type? That field indeed is useless for the user. He does not care to set types. Why don't you just remove it and make all varaibales present for the templates. I am a developer myself (I can calim I am a good one too) and I can not set those variables and I don't want to imagine what will happen when the word comes for an end user.
Is there a way to achieve the result I expect?
Thank you in advance.
