I switched from a different directory script that did not support showing PageRank. And david imported the MySQL for me. The problem is all my links show a N/A pagerank even though in reality they have PageRank.
How do i tell the directory to re-check the pagerank?

Bobby, unfortunately any automated requests in volume can be problematic, as google does not allow this (nor offer pagerank checks using the google api). Question, when you edit and save a single link in admin, does it update pagerank? If yes, then this one method (though time consuming). If no, then google is blocking your server from checking pagerank.

would there be anyway to have it run a couple of links at a time?
because manually resubmitting links would take weeks

Yes, I understand completely. I'll tell you what.
I will see if there is a way to create a little script that can run from your home computer, and then you can update the database that way.

That's a pretty strong indication that google is blocking pagerank requests from your server. For the record, who is your host?

ummm, it is hosted at a forum who outsources hosting.
I have had no trouble with them, so i there shouldn't be a problem.
anyway, is there a desktop application i can run?
and how does the directory recheck pagerank every pagerank update?

Many good hosts are blocked from checking pagerank (ex. most site5 servers).

There is not a known method for updating large quantities of listing through phpLD, or any web application for that matter. The reason: google forbids automated pagerank checks, and will tend to block the server from doing this if many requests are made.

so in no way i can have it displayed?
BUMMER is an understatement
well anyway, i was interested in how the directory re-checks pagerank after each update. if it doesn't i woold be interested in looking into it for 3

Yes, I hope to develop a small program that will check stuff from your browser at home...say 10 per minute...then you can upload to your database to refresh the values. I know it is important to some people...just need to find a method that does not jeopardize your directory from getting in trouble with Google, which I'm sure is important to you also. If there is a way, I'll find it, but it may take a little time.
