View Full Version : *Complete* category listing on main page?
Errk!

I have a small number of top level categories in my directory, and I was wondering how I could force the main index page to list all of the categories AND sub-categories instead of just the first few subcategories.
I'd prefer to have them in alphabetical order too - I don't know how it decides to list the first few (3 in my current settings) but they aren't in alphabetical order and it doesn't seem to be in order of the # of links.
How could I modify just the main index page so that EVERYTHING is listed?
Thanks...

In the admin panel, go to settings, then directory settings. There you can set the number of subcategories you want to show on the main page. Just set it to a whole lot and you should be able to see all subcategories. I don't know how you can get them on alphabetical order though, so I'll leave someone else to answer that question.

Ah, thanks. I misunderstood what that setting was for.
If anyone could tell me how to force it to display subcategories in alphabetical order I would appreciate it.

For anyone who didn't know - it looks like the subcategories are arranged by page view.
How can I switch it from page view to alphabetical?

I think that Casey provided a workaround for alphabetizing a few months back. Try searching on "alphabetizing", and if that doesn't work, search for posts by Apostle longer ago than 60 days....

Doesn't seem to be working for me though...
