I have a Google Maps mod, it allows the submitter to select their location and then on another page shows all the locations of the link submitters :)

It's neat.

I just got a server and so I'm going to be uploading it shortly to test out.
It's been quite awhile since I've been able to mess with it, so I need to make sure I had it in complete working order.

Question... I already created a sitemap and it was denied by google because it can't verify certain things like 404 error page... in the .htaccess of the phpLD script there is a code so if someone types in the wrong url it redirects to the home page. This is a major issue because google won't bother with my xml site map if it can't verify a 404... Anyone have a solution?

Also, Yahoo now accepts sitemaps but in the form of txt file. I have a script that is almost done to not only generate a sitemap after you load the program on your server but to auto update the sitemap everytime you add a new page, category, etc... it runs through cron jobs... Need about 2 weeks to do final testing and debugging. But the great thing is the control it will allow for allowing and blocking pages.

I thought this to be a problem for myself in that google couldn't verify their little google file they ask you to create. Turns out, I just entered some text in the file google asks you create, the problem was that you can't access a file that has nothing in it.

Hope that works for you, cause it did for me.

they ask u to add some mata code in head on directory go & paste that code in header of your directory. InshAllah it'll work for u.

Take a look at XML Sitemap Generator. I use it to generate Google and Yahoo sitemaps as well as html sitemaps for all of my websites. I think it is more robust than the PHPLD 3.2 sitemap generator. See signature.
