Internal, dynamic functional sitemap idea

I have read about many ideas of sitemaps for phpLinkDirectory recently. I've been thinking about this also myself.

It shouldn't bee to hard to build a separate page wich generates a list of total categories in the directory dynamically? This along with permament links to Latest, Top and sumbit pages. And use this as a sitemap. Hmm...?

Yes, the main consideration is having it work with and without mod rewrite turned on. I'm trying to finish up some improvements to mod rewrite, so that it works with nearly all possible urls. Then a sitemap would be a logical next step.

Most of us I think uses mod_rewrite switched on. Consider releasing a mod that works with only mod_rewrite switched on, to begin with?

Well, I'm actually close to finishing the mod rewrite part now.
Development is definitely moving forward again after some time off. :)

Definitely the hardest part is balancing revenue and support.
We want to help people for free when possible, but we've got to have a better way to move the script forward on a continual basis by developing a revenue stream.
