Would it be possible to dynamically generate alphabetical category dividers that would separate a whole letter's category with a header, for easier viewing?
Example (disregard the ...'s):
A
Animals
Anchors
Automobiles
B
Ballrooms
Barns
Bedroom Sets
Ben Franklin
C
Cats
Cars
Corndogs
Cucumbers
I think this would make both light and extensive directories alike much easier on the eye to navigate.
But if, say, I had only categories ranging from A-L, I wouldn't want to see a bunch of useless, empty, lettered category dividers. Could the script sense which first-letters are being used and only display letter dividers for the necessary categories? Also, could the letter-dividers follow category listings into extended columns, so it's not a completely vertical list, but A might fall under the first column, and if the categories-to-column limit is exceeded, then the next letter may follow in the next column?
Thanks
