From a web designers point of view, using the shades of green you have select are hard on the eyes.
I suggest that you make a better quality of a logo.

That is just my opinion.

the bright green of the banner and the blue of the menu's do not go well at all with that olivish shade of green you've used for the directory...

A nice start....
the grey topbar i think maybe should blend with your header and change the link color of it....maybe revers the search button...make it white with red text?

not to sure about the color of the header font
and possibly a footer image? Or a background image/color?
