Please, could you said me if the PHPLD works ok in your hosting?
I need the directory as part of a new web but the hosting where I have my other sites doesn't work well the mod_rewrite and I need a new hosting.

From my (limited) experience, pretty much any host which offers you "cpanel" as part of the hosting package is going to allow you mod_rewrite control, but the vast majority of reputable hosts will also offer this for you - just email their support before you sign up to double check. If they take mor ethan 24 hours to respond, I would give the host a wide berth anyway - 24 hours or above to respond to a sales enquiry, what chance will you have as a paying customer if you encounter problems...?
Personally, I know synergyblue.com works fine with mod_rewrite, 'cos thats who i use, but there are literally thousands of hosts who can supply what you need!
Try a Google for hosting company with mod rewrite - http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2004-17,GGLD:en&q=hosting+company+that+supports+mod%5Frewrite
I had no problems when I was with 1&1, but I know many people who have had, so may be worth avoiding them for the moment...
Good luck! ;)

Hi, I've used 4 UNIX web hosting so far, and all of them supports mod_rewrite. What you have to make sure when choosing a web host is they are running a UNIX server not a Windows server. Windows do not have mod_rewrite built in (they have solutions like isp_rewrite or something like that though).
I am currently using resellerzoom.com and so far, no complaints. You might want to give it a try if you have more than 1 web site.
