Does this "scrap" data from websites as well or does it only depend on RSS feeds from news sources? As I understand correctly, Topix.net/google spiders news sites, scraps news and displays on their sites...how is this app similar/different?

With the purchase of $75...do I get phpdirectory software as well?

Is it easy to use different templates with NewsTopica script?

Thanks.

It definitely depends on RSS feeds. Google News has a service where news services supply data in a method similar to RSS, so there are certainly differences.

PHP Link Directory is free, so yes you are welcome to get it as well.

NewsTopica and PHP Link Directory both use the Smarty (http://smarty.php.net/) template system.

Does it cache older RSS feeds in DB or local filesystem?
Do you have documentation somewhere about this product that I can read?

Thanks!

I can tell you that is uses almost the exact same software as phpLD.
It stores the imported data in mySQL. I don't have any wonderful documentation, but I can let you play around with a live copy...just PM me.
Thanks
