1) How do I set up cron job so that the news is imported every hour or so? Right now, the only way I can get news feeds into the directory is by manually importing them through the category option in admin.

2) Is there a way to only show certain categories based on a language variable that is stored in a cookie on the users computer? This way if the users has selected spanish on my main site, it will be stored in a cookie and when they go to newstopica they'll only see spanish news categories?

Hi, the answer to the first question is simpler. Please read over this and let me know if this helps:

I think for the second question we would need to add a variable to the database where language is selected. It would be some custom work, but quite possible.

Ok, I understand now.
I'm going to have to research this.
While I'm doing this, can you get me your php info?
To do this, just a file called phpinfo.php and put the following code in it.
Content visible to registered users only.
Put this file in the same folder as your directory, and then send me the url.
