Hi,

I just noticed a few days back that if I submit a link, I don't get an email notification that the site was submitted and waiting approval (as happens on most web directories) (the admin however receives email notification of new link added). I noticed this when I wanted to modify the email template for the rejection email and in order to find where that is I added a link and deleted it so that I get such an email and be able to search for some strings to find the template. and I didn't receive such email. There are no email templates in the admin panel (system- edit email templates shows nothing, however, since admin receives an email I was thinking there must be some default templates somewhere).
this happens in the new 2.1.2 version as well.

What am I missing?

How about creating all templates testing them and then determining if it is a bug or just something you haven't done yet?

maybe I'm not understanding the use of the script too well.

so, I install it. some emails are being sent, some are not. what is the rule for that? How do I know which templates I need to create and which not?
because there is an install.txt file in the archive and it says nothing about this (!).

imho, if the user needs to do something in order to make a product 100% usable, that needs to be documented, no? I mean look at me: I messed this up (and some other stuff) really nice and it could have been avoided if proper documentation were in place. And at this moment I am assuming there is no such documentation because the documents from the archive don't point to one (and I'm not talking about reading thourgh the forum, that is something a normal person will never do: the forum is just huge. a small search, finding a lot of irrelevant stuff and then posting a new thread)

an idea would be to start such a document and let the community contribute to it, especially new users. and they can put in stuff that for them was not so clear/obvious (like I would do with this email thingie and a few others). I think it would get the best quality this way.

anyway, sorry for calling it a bug :D I'll try to be more attentive next time.

Seriously create the template and lets see if it works for you or if its a bug
No one else has reported it so I don't know.
Not saying it is or it isn't what I am saying is lets try to find out for sure.

I re-read my post. indeed I didn't specify it clearly, my bad: I did create a template, set it up in the admin panel, tested and workd. I didn't do anything fancy since all I wanted to see is that an email is being sent or not and it is.

so no bug here. maybe you should modify the thread title to remove the "bug:" part so there will be no confusion in the feature :)
