I am using Varykl's three colom design and love it. One thing that I found out today while I was one someone elses computer is that when I go to the link pages the area for the discription is much narrower then when viewed on my computer.

This isn't a major problem when I use my computer but it bothers me that this could be a little out of whack for others. Because the area is so narrow it makes the discription of the site become much taller...making the pages very long. Is there something that I can change in the main.css file to make the discription area wider?

Thanks,

Jere

Hi Jere -

Are you talking about for instance http://www.godlyreminders.com/studies/? And what resolution was your friend's monitor running, and what size is it?

Even at 800x600 it views fine - see link to screenshot.... (this is on a 17" screen....)

{image url not working - removed}

Could you screenshot what you see on your friend's screen and post it along with the info about his setup? Might be able to do some tweaks (but not if he's using 640x480 for some reason - I don't support that res any more....)

Actually I can't get a screeshot, the computer was at a public library. The screen resolution may have been what caused the directory to look out of shape. I have checked it on two other machines and they both looked fine.

Sorry to have caused any worry over your template.

Not worried precisely.... just there are some resolutions etc. that I can't approximate on my setup, and if others can provide that information, then I can do some "fixing".

Your site is coming along great, btw!

[I'd bet a public library machine is 640x480 on a 15" screen.... that's what they have around here. People donate that sort of thing, that's the only way our libraries get anything....]
