I have a few websites on ixwebhosting including www.photoclickspro.com (http://www.photoclickspro.com).
This hosting is a good one if you plan to host html or php websites without a database. If you plan to host a website having a database, ixwebhosting should be the last choice out of millions hosting companies in the world. IX overloads their MySQL servers and they go down several times a day, generally during business hours. If you have a dynamically driven website - expect nothing but disappointment. IX webhosting really SUCKS not worth a penny and is soooo sloooooow. Instead to pay them money, better is to find a free web host supporting php and a database like http://www.100webspace.com/ . Before I subscribed to ixwebhosting I had a website at 100webspace and never, ever had a problem.
Now I am waiting until my subscription ends and I will ruuuuun away any where from those useless money grabbers.

Thanks Dawzz, it seems hostgator especially is very popular with many people and highly recommended, after spending most of today checking out various hosts i feel it could be hostgator that i choose.

Research a little about ixwebhosting on webhostingtalk.com and see what you think. One site I really like is whreviews.com

After reading the comments about ixwebhosting on webhostingjury.com its put me right off them, ive decided on hostgator at last :) i thought i would have one last look around today at other hosts but each time ive been drawn back to hostgator.

Thanks for all opinions on this.
