Hmm, seems like a path issue messing up this one.
Now for the dpakman91, I'd like to see your DB.

I can now access the admin section and the main page, but the submit.php does not seem to work.

Hello there! I have the same problem, I'm installing the phplinkdirectory on my test server locally, I'm using Apache 2, Php 5 and MySql 4.1.
I already created a database user using PhpMyAdmin, (didn't create the database since the phplinkdirectory installation says it creates automatically)... :D
Requirements
PHP Version >= 4.1 (5.0.4) OK
Server API (apache2handler) OK
GD Support (for visual confirmations) (2.0.28) OK
Session Save Path writable? Warning: session.save_path () is not set.
MSSQL Server Support Not available.
MySQL Support OK
PostgreSQL Support Not available.
./include/config.php writable? OK
./temp writable? OK
./temp/templates writable? OK
Now when I try to click next after this first windows, nothing happens!! what could it be wrong, I saw someone saying it might be a path problem but to be honest don't know where to look... :?
Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Could this be a problem with a php version 5+?

blackpepper,
Could I get FTP access? I'd like to have a look, and do some debugging.
Thanks

Hi Ap0s7le, thanks a lot for helping,
I'm trying to install the phplinkdirectory locally (windows xp pro (sp2), apache 2.0.55, php 5, mysql 5.0.15 and phpmyadmin 2.6.4-pl3).
Want to do some testing before going online. How can I give you access to my local server via ftp? Sorry for the late answer but it's beacause of time differences...
Thanks again...

Where should I check for the Path Issue?? It would be nice to include this check in the installer script.
Thanks.

Is it necessary to run PHP 5 and mySQL 5?
I would recommend installing on a hosting plan that uses cPanel. There are rarely any problems in this type of setup. Sure, we could troubleshoot the problem, but I'm wondering if there is an alternative.
