Longer Descriptions

it would be nice to have the possibility for a longer descrition for a link.

I know this is a bit difficult for the table field for the description is already VARCHAR(255) what is the maximum for this type. Maybe it would be possible to use two fields, 255 charakter each, for the description.

Well, phpLD 3.0 will offer the option to display separate pages for each link, and I was planning to offer the option to provide long descriptions also. If we do this, this means you could display the long description on the regular category pages too. On problem with going above 255 on a big directory is there could be some performance issues.

If to use cyrillic symbols in the Description, there are problems at excess of the size (255 symbols) - the Description cannot be edited in the administrator-panel.
