Great work on the directory.

Just two minor suggestions
Have the default, when switching url rewrite on, use hyphens instead of underscores.

On the menu bar have then name of the directory instead of "directory home" - Better for anchor text.

more suggestions..
A date added sort order(admin setting only, and turn off other sort options), so i can give preference to those who submitted first.

Create email templates that automatically get sent out whenever a site is approved or declined. Have a tick box or other means to override the option in case you don’t want to send the mail for a particular site.

more suggestions :)

Email notification of new submission.- run several small niche directories and wont check them often. Is this already supposed to happen?

(btw i tried sining up for the forum but never recived an activation email)

I'm allowing guest posting right now, which means you don't have to register. As we get busier, I will change this. If you register, you should then be able to sign in with the username and password you provided. I will add the email notification to the Wish List, which I am working on right now, and getting things done.
