I tried to add my adsense code into the footer.tpl and I uploaded it and nothing shows up.

Content visible to registered users only.

Try moving the {/strip} tag in front of the AdSense code. Everything that is enclosed in strip tags will have all the spaces at begining and end of lines and new lines removed.

I am looking ofr the same information... I have moved the {/strip} tag above the AdSense JS, but this gives me a whole whack of white space between the main content area and the footer. I tried adding another {strip} tag right after the JS as well and closed it where the original closing tag had been, but this didn't help.

All comments appreciated!

Here is the site: http://www.phpdirectory.com/, and below is my main.tpl code:

Of course, Adsense can't fill the whole ad space right now with no content so it's only filling what it can an so the 600px iframe is still being shown.

Thus, the whitespace.

I tested it with a smaller ad and the whitespace left.

Two tips,
1. Register on the forums or I will no longer answer your questions.
2. Use CODE tags when posting code.

Thanks

Thank you for having a look at my post. Of course I made myself look pretty dumb by not seeing that my ad_space and ad_width values were different from the ad size being called, and by also not seeing the CODE button! But isn't it always the way: I post a question and a minute later, I've figured it out!
cheers
SAM :)

It does make it a lot easier to cut and paste back and forth between the forum and your files when using the code tags, because spacing is better preserved. I'm glad you figured it out. :)
