Need help editing a section of my template

HI,

I can't figure out how to add links to the featured links portion of my site. I've been browsing the .tpl files, but I'm stuck. I can't find anything in the admin section of the site either?

I found the image that makes up that part of the site. Not sure how to proceed. Also I did a search but I didn't find anything that gave me the answer.

I took a look at that particular template. It is set up so that when you have a featured link in your directory it will also appear there. There is no need to add them manually. Try adding a test featured link and you'll see what I mean.
If you DO want to manually add them there, open top_bar.tpl and look for

Content visible to registered users only.

Thanks for your reply. I added a featured link via the admin panel, I clicked the box that says "featured link". However it's not showing up on my home page?

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

look in the category that the link is in is it showing there?

By default the script is not set up to show featured links on the main page
in order to do what you want you need to add some code to the index.php and call it in the tpl.


Search for random or latest 5 featured links .

Ahhh... I see it now, it's showing up in the category that the link is in.

I was trying to get it to show up on the home page of my site.

In looking through the Admin section, I didn't see an option to have the link show up on the home page.

How would I go about having the link show up on my home page??

I'm using Ver. 2.x (not sure of the exact number)
