I know its been asked but can't find it...
Is there any issues with running a 2.x and 3.x on the same site? I wouldn't think so since they'd have their own sep databases...but just checking
also wanted to know, I know you allow people to have a spare copy for testing and template designs...but is it possible to have it on a different site?
i have a different site set up for all of my testing...
lol and then well i may be looking for someone to help me transfer http://www.shadav.info over to the v3 lol

no no problem. heck if you setting up for upgrading just install it in a sub-folder and use the same databse that way you dont have to export and import new links ect.

so v3 and v2 use the same database structure?
then the main issue will be the template lol but then again i may just start with a fresh new look lol...been debating over getting a new template for a while

same structure as far as it will work with 2.1. Just approve all new links via the 3.1 admin ;)
you must run the installer for 3.1
you can port your template over in under 30 minutes :)

lmfao Dawzz you're talkin to some who really doesn't know what they are doing :D trial by error my friend is so much fun (at times)
but just to clarify, would it be ok to pay for the script and load it for public use on one site, but have a demo/test version on another site or would i need to pay for that one as well?

I replied to shadev. I don't mind honest people testing on the same domain as purchase or on a private network. What I do mind is finding out about someone doing something that is clearly dishonest, and this can be grounds for losing all licenses. Fortunately, we have a lot of good people here at phpLD, and have had very few problems, so I really appreciate the team effort that has allowed us to get this far. There is still a lot of potential for growth, and we depend on everyone to help us grow, which also helps everyone too.
