I deleted my database - no backup either

I learned a very valuable lesson today...

Backup before making changes.

I deleted my my entire directory on accident today.

I'm going ask this just because...

Is there anyway to recover the lost data... or will I have to rebuild the site from a fresh install??

Do nothing. Talk to your web host. They should have a backup. Depending on when last backed up, you will have lost some data. But, you should have most of the db. If they do not backup the db at regular intervals, then you are out of luck - get another web host.

They back up once a week... this site was four days old. They had no backup:mad:

sorry....but to let you know you're not the only one lol...i had an old DB that i forgot i was sharing it with 2 other scripts and well yeah there went their databases....(and at this time my host wasn't taking regular backups, boy they are now :D )


well at least the good news is is all you need to do is reinstall the db...4 days of link submissions gone and category origanization....

but yes backups are always handy...i can understand the site being so young i don't think i'd have taken one yet either
