Dmoz catogories import

Hi,

I know that there are several php scripts posted in the forum on importing dmoz categories and links.

If someone has successfully imported them, would it be possible to share the SQL dump of just categories, not the links?

I need some part of the categories, but I can mangage once I have the SQL dump.

I have been trying to import using several scripts, but haven't been successful.

I've been planning to pull all the Cats.

What I'd like to do is do that, then make a mod that allows PHPLD users to go into the Admin, select which Cats they want and it import directly from my site into their directory.

What do you think?

You can download the new version of my script and just comment out the lines that import the links. If you need more help let me know.

Casey, I like your idea of having them pre-available like that.

On a related note, have you made available yet the Mod you mentioned in another thread which will make just the 'category being submitted to' appear on the link-submit page instead of having all categories loaded into a drop-down list?

I'm very eager to see this one because after importing from DMOZ like so many here, I've noticed that the submit page now takes forever to load because it's taking quite some time to load and parse the full list of categories.
