adding to Existing site - help

Now, I have existing site and now i like to install this wonderful script on my site without changing the existing layout for ex. http://www.webmasterspalace.com (i get this site in url in this forum) but not like the default one... anyone can help...

Have you played around with header.tpl and footer.tpl?
That is where you can change the design for the most part.
Oh, and also main.css.
