Important: About Mods

Please keep in mind that until a mod is added to the official version of PHP Link Directory, it is just that...a mod.

1) Please use caution when adding mods. Back up your old files before making changes.
2) It may be trickier to upgrade when release new versions, so it may be better to wait, rather than adding a mod when it is first released.
3) Because our main goal is to improve the existing PHP Link Directory, and support it too, we are not able to give as much support for mods.
4) If you come up with a cool addition to the script, it would be great if you would take the time to post your mod here, so that others may benefit too, just as you have benefited by using this free script.

It is also a GOOD idea to make a separate folder of backed up files that you have added mods to on both your server and your hard drive (I am a firm believer in redundancy when it comes to 'puters . . .) When an upgrade is done you'll then be able to compare the new file with your modded file and make changes to the new file if necessary, or, if the mod has been incorporated into the new release, you can then delete the old modded file. That way you don't have to go poking looking for that mod that worked so well for you . . . you've got it at your fingertips.
