cant submit a link?

if someone tries to submit a link to my dir ( http://thetruedirectory.com ) then it says url is already in there, y does this happen. I have no mods just changed the skin and deleted the .htaccess. could you please help.

Does this happen on every submittal or just the ones that are like blahblah.blooger.com?

why delete the htaccess?

every submition, and because i f i put in the .htaccess then i get a 500 error, and deleting it was the only way i could fix it.

comment out the
Options lines in it that should fix the 500 error

It doesnt work itried that already, and do you have any idea on how to fix the submittion error.

Looks like it cant open a connection.

Ask your host if fsock is enabled and outgoing connections allowed so you check for domains being live and recip checks also

ok for some reason cant log into cpanel right now, is there any way around this without asking the host.

no not really you can pm me ftp access and I can try a test to make sure that is the problem
