How to display sub categories in vertical, not horizontal?

Firstly I'm glad to join this forum at first time. How to make sub categories display in vertical, not horizontal? I'm newbie to tpl or xhtml :oops: so I can't do anything to modify template. Please give me some advice. :lol:
