I installed this directory script about a week ago and was wondering if anyone can do a mod for me. I'd be glad to pay or make a donation if it's not more than I can afford.
What I want is another field for linking a related url (blog post) under the description field. I'd like it to be just like the listed sites link title, i.e. the title is hyperlinked. I'd also like this field to only show in the directory if there is an actual link placed there.
I asked a friend (a programmer) to take a look at the script and he said it would not be easy to do what I'm asking for. I think he felt it would take too much time to familiarize himself with the script in order to do the changes I wanted. I did a page with visuals to explains what I want that can be viewed here - http://www.wild-mind.net/directoryinfo.html if anyone is interested in doing this mod for me. The directory is here - http://writing.wild-mind.net/. I'm hoping this mod request will be relatively easy for someone who is familiar with the script.
BTW, my programmer friend said the code was very well done! Nice to know and I'm sure the developer(s) like unsolicited compliments.
Thanks
Gloria
