Hi all,
I have two questions ...
1.) I am using PHPLD 2.0 directory and I want to remove payment by Paypal. Instead, I would like customers to make payments through their Credit Cards. Can anyone suggest how can I accept payments through credit card?
2.) What is the best program to edit .tpl files. Please suggest some GUI that I can use to edit such files.
Regards,
Silvia

1. I guess you can use 2CO for card payments. You can do your own mod if you're able to create one or you can buy one.
2. Use Dreamweaver.

Can you use paypal to take a credit card??? I can but I do have a verified business account.
as said 2co is one option.
merchant account is another one.
all in all paypal is the best option if your in a country that allows full access to all of paypal features. The debit card is the best one :)

Hi Dawzz, thanks for suggestions, however, I dont have a Paypal account right now. I had one and I made a mistake and paypal closed my account. It was a business account. Its a sad story, lets not discuss paypal.
I would love to allow customers to directly pay through their credit cards instead of paypal or 2CO or escrow. I have also bought SSL certificate for payments. phpLD 2.0 allows payment by paypal only. Can you help me how can I make required changes so that I can charge my customers with their credit cards?
Secondly, may be you can tell me if there is any Graphical User Interface that can be used to edit/preview .tpl files.
Regards,
Silvia

To accept C/Cs the way you're wanting would require a gateway and merchant account to process the payments. Not sure how that would be done.

can always store the cc info like oscommerce but then you will have to store the cvv number (which is usually illegal even if storing temporarily according to most merchant agreements) to do it live you will have to decide on a processor then get the api from them and hire someone to code the payment mod.

Ok, this is more complicated than what I thought.
Can anyone tell me which file in phpLD 2.0 directory has the setup of paypal option?
I think, I can simply remove the paypal option until I figure out how to allow customers to pay through credit card.
Thanks,
Silvia.

if your not charging them just set prices to zero then the payment page is never accessed. Paypal.tpl has the actual button code.

Also check VSDan's alternate payment mod (http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18818).
