There is already a free version (http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/articlescript/news/page_1/Bid_for_Position_on_Version_2_12.php) that does this. All you need to do is integrate a nice template and it will be almost identical to this.

We also just released a version that can do this for v3. It is in Beta now, and more information will be available shortly, but it adds some very interesting features.

You are welcome to try the free version if you like.
As for upgrading, since this is still in beta for v3, I can't make guarantees about going from the modded v2 to v3. Can it be done? Definitely! But it may require some help from a pro in which case some money would be needed.

Personally, I think the link bid for v2 can be pretty darn cool, if you will just give it a nice template.

Yes, you can purchase a special version of phpLD too. As far as the templating, any template can be converted to work with it. You have to PM me if you want to purchase it.

No, but we have a special version with this embedded.
It is likely it will be in the next version as an option.
