View Full Version : Paypal button not working

When a visitor chooses a paid option for one of their links, they are taken to payment.php which summarizes their link information and gives them the total payment due.
The paypal button is displayed, but no link is attached to it. You can click it all day and nothing happens.
Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to correct it?
I have not modified the files at all. (v 2.1)
Thanks

did you put your paypal info in the admin section?
System > Edit Settings > Payment

Content visible to registered users only.
Yes, all the paypal information is there and correct. Enable payments is checked, the prices are listed and my paypal email address is there.

May I have a URL please? I will take a look, also, depending on what I find, I may need FTP access to fix it.

Content visible to registered users only.
Sure, its:
{url no longer in service}
And just to let you know, the button not working does not have anything to do with the javascript on the first page. I tried removing the "intro" submit page and having it go right to the form, and the same thing happens. Thank you for your time in helping me with this...

With or without the "intro" page to the site submit form, the paypal button still does not work.

*updated
I removed the small script adjustments that I made and uploaded the submit.php page fresh "out of the box". Thanks.

So it's working?

No. Sorry to be so confusing. I uploaded a fresh submit.php with absolutely no adjustments or modifications to it so that you can see how it is functioning "out of the box".
The paypal button still appears, but has no link attached to it. You can see this at
{url no longer in service}
Sorry for the confusion.

No matter how I "get" there, it tells me that I came from the wrong page.

You're right. Look now. I uploaded a default payment.tpl (obviously it messes up the layout, but the paypal link works)
Something must have gotten messed up in the payment.tpl file provided with this template. Here are the two files:
ORIG:
Content visible to registered users only.
Payment.tpl for this template:
Content visible to registered users only.
Thanks again for your assistance with this...

One thing I have learned is when a non original template has problems start comparing the files :)
:p

Is there any way I can submit both files for comparison? I tried looking at them with Beyond Compare, and I have moved some things around but I'm just messing things up. The code didnt paste well in my reply last time. Let me try it once more:
Payment.tpl original code from v2.1:
Content visible to registered users only.
And payment.tpl from the emillie's template:
Content visible to registered users only.
Any assistance is much appreciated.
