This mod will allow you to import links from RSS Feeds. There are a couple of uses:
1) You could easily import from from another directory your new one (on a per category basis)
2) You could even import titles with descriptions from virtually any RSS feed, not just feeds from phpld. Most basic RSS formats work. This has not been tested with newer more advanced formats, but whould work with those too.

This mod is already integrated with the development version, and will be part of the next release.

You are probably better off using the dev version
It integrates this mod and much more, and is very close to the final release.

Yes, we are just finishing up the payment mod, where you can require payment for a variety of things such as featured links or one-way links, and we will be releasing as Revision 34. I think the final release will be still a week or two away, but all the Revisions have been consistently stable.

I don't know if you knew that you can always overwrite with the latest revision, and then run install again, and ONLY new revisions to the database (ALTER) are made, keeping your existing db intact, but adding new features. Of course, always good to backup before upgrading. Also, you would especially want to backup your tpl files that you changed, and then reuse them after upgrade.

Well besides that it is good mod indeed is it fair to grab someone directory? DMOZ allowed that but I don't so people wont ask me.

twin, DMOZ even offers a dump of their DB but few programs can open it since it's so large.

Also, if someone wanted your structure, they'd just write a script to go get it.

Have a great day

I would really like to use this mod to import some links from some dmoz categories to start up the database of a new directory.

Please tell me where I can find some RSS Feeds either at dmoz or any other directory.

Thanks.

Content visible to registered users only.
Do you have a mod like this for versions 3.x? If you do I would like to get a copy.
