Amateur Needs Help

Hi there,

I am using PHP Link Directory for the first time as I am an orphan from the Kevin Ocasio Reciprocal Manager nightmare.

I have happened to fall at the first hurdle.

When I run the install I get the error message:

An error occured while connecting to the database. Please check your database username and password.

If you require help with your database server settings, please consult your hosting company.

The database server returned the following message:

Host '65.61.246.211' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server
I have checked and all my settings appear to be right. What have I done?

Did you put that IP in as the sql server?

If so try just putting in "localhost".

I have a feeling that's all the problem is but don't quote me on that ;)
