Link detail pages

I would like to have link detail pages for my dir.

I have seen that lankkatalogen.se has something similar.

And then a tpl file for those pages that I can design myself with variables.

Has it been done? Does it cost me? How much?

here is a simple way to show detailed pages with alexa thumbnails:

details.php:
Content visible to registered users only.
detail.tplContent visible to registered users only.
in link.tpl for example:
Content visible to registered users only.
(Edit by Boby: I have corrected this example for link.tpl because you have not used correctly BB tags (http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/forum/misc.php?do=bbcode) and the whole stuff was parsed as link, hiding the little detail of sending the link ID through the URL)

Thanks Thompson for this mod, but I cannot get it to work properly. For some reason, it is not picking up the link information.

Can you check out: {broken link removed} and click on the Deatils link to see what I mean?

My site differs from yours in one way: I had to create a sub-directory to create my Directory, and your seems to be in the root directory. Not sure if this is the reason.

Also, where are the files placed? In the /templates sub-directory or the directory root?

place the details.php in this directory where the index.php is. the detail.tpl have to be placed in directory templates.

This is just a suggestion but perhaps the details page can be further utilised by having quick links to specific pages within a website. From a maximum of say perhaps 8 links Link submitters could have this option on submission.

it doesn't seem to work i installed it on v2.1.2 and can't get it to work right...it won't display the details...i changed the alexa image code to msn.

it's like it's not pulling the ID info to post the displayed info (hope that made since....i tried looking through VSDan's contact us mod to see if i could see anything, but afraid i've no idea what i'm looking for....

Before uploading or update the live server, i manage to do everything and tested, it can show details and data while on localserver, but once i've uploaded it live, its seem to come back to square. ??

By the way shadav, on your link-1 dot html website, its actually your table which are making the border :)

Content visible to registered users only.The class "formpage", delete it, the detail page isn't a formpage, it is a viewing page. Might use other class type for the table.

I think i found the reason why but cant really know how to solve it. When i turn off the rewrite option on the admin part, i can view details on any other directory list, but once i turn it ON. It went to no data at all.

Anyone can help?

i've actually gotten it to work and with rewrite mod on but i'm asking david first before i post it here because i snagged some code from phpLD V3.2's detail.php for the grabbing the ID part and used it :D
but if you've managed to get it to work then add this part to the part that gets the id info

[edit]lmfao, i forgot :D , to get it to work with phpLD's rewrite the way it comes you'll need to rename your pages to detail.php and detail.tpl also change the link in link.tpl
