any suggestions? i can not find any threads about how to design free templates.:mad:

Really all you need to do is start working with the html in files like header.tpl and footer.tpl (in your templates folder) and you will get the hang of it.

1.) Get your PSD layout ready.
2.) Slice your PSD for html.
3.) Make ready your CSS.
4.) Now you can start work with smarty files(.tpl) of phpLD.

At first u have to get a clear idea about phpLD functionality, how it works (user end). Then you can easily make bug free templates.

IMO, phpLD is very easy to customize :)

lol yep i agree, very easy...when someone like me that has a basic html knowledge no php knowledge lol can create templates, even ugly ones :p

How complicated is to create a template?

I have no idea, but if it is something that can be learn easy I would try to do it.
