Can't log into admin area? Smarty Error?

Get this when I try to log in to any of my directories

Warning: Smarty error: validate: validator id 'v_user' is not registered. in /home/listnow/public_html/libs/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1088

Anyone know what is up?

ok, try this

internet explorer -->tools-->internet options-->delete files-->(check off 'delete all offline content)-->click OK

it might take a while depending on how much crap you have cache.

after it's done cleaning up, close your browser and reopen your browser.

try logging back into admin

I have this problem too. I've tried to delete my browsers cache (both files, offline content and cookies). Afterwards I closed and re-started my browser but I still get this:

I haven't changed in any files since the last time I was loged in.

I've run into this sort of thing every so often when I'm working with templates and such. I delete all the cached files in the temp directory on the server, and that usually does the trick.

I did have a problem this morning though wherein my database was down, so my username and password were not recognize by the software (because it couldn't check them against the data stored in teh DB). To check your database status, log into phpMySQLAdmin and verify you can connect to your DB.

I get the same error, and cant figure out why. Ive reuploaded the files and just that file. I also did what was suggested above, and nada! waah.
