Demo of Admin?

Hi,

Is it possible to get a feel for the admin panel please? I've noticed that some users have been PM'd login details for the demo one.

I am surprised you don't have a publically accessable one that resets every hour or something like that. It would be very helpful when trying to explain features of the script to interested folks.

yes that has been discussed.

It would have to be a stripped down admin with most functions disabled simply due to what can be done via admin. Then it would be tons of questions about why this doesn't work or that doesn't.

And yes I read about reseting it every hour.

That is an hour for people to play.

Yes, it only takes us a moment to give a demo if someone asks.
I know a lot of other sites give access to an admin demo, but things are working pretty well this way, so for now, I think we will continue to keep the demo private.

Yes, there are some reasons including letting you have full access to the admin without limitation, which we would have to do if it were public. What we might do in the future is allow you to sign up for a demo and then be sent the details with a unique login. This is what vBulletin does.

haha...I did not know there can be a demo, but I bought phpLD 3.2 without regret. MUCH better admin interface than the free version 2. :)
