Visual Confirmation Options

I tested out the directory today and I couldn't make out what was in th visual confirmation box. I really hate when other sites have visual confirmatio boxes that are so crazy that even a human can't even read them.

I was wondering what my options were for this. Can I find my own? Are there templates of some kind?
