Is there a way to implement both a regular directory as well as a bid directory

Is there a way to implement both a regular directory as well as a bid directory and if so how and can you show me an example my idea is to let people bid on a link but also be able to submit a non bid link such as feature or regular where as bid links are given top priority and shown on front page

yeah I started it over at dp and thought I would also ask here as I think somehow it could be done just need to figure out the code or see if someone already knows how, I have seen your example with phpLd link bid option so far

ah right, I got mixed up. why don't you send dawzz or david a direct PM with what exactly you have in mind and they can tell you if it exists in phpld already or if hey can create it for you.

you should be able to use the same db...so have one set as your main site
or both in folders
yoursite.tld/Directory and yoursite.tld/Bid
on second thought not sure that really would work cuz the bid links wouldn't be displayed on the regular directory...however the regular directory listings should show up in the bid directory listings....I think...

if i understand it right then yeah you can do that it wold be just a matter of adding another payment option ..... if you wanted to offer featured like that.

but it works like that anyway you have featured (bid) non bid (normal) recip ... please explain in detail what your vision is as I dont understand I think.

thats what I want for them to be able to state an amount for feature or top bid and to be to up it just like on a bid directory

basically have a set price for featured and regular links that they pay to have their site listed and then later if they want the can bid on their link to place it higher up on the listing..... :D
