Link Submit Smarty Errors

Hello,

My directory located at {url no longer in service} is currently using phpld. The link submit page is at {url no longer in service} .

Currently the link submit is not working, try without entering any data and pressing Continue.

I receive a whole bunch of errors including:

Notice: SmartyValidate: [is_valid] criteria function '' was not found. in /home/webdir/domains/webdevdir.com/public_html/libs/smarty/SmartyValidate.class.php on line 558

Warning: Smarty error: validate: validator id 'v_TITLE' is not registered. in /home/webdir/domains/webdevdir.com/public_html/libs/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1088

I've searched the forums but did not find a fix for this. Can anyone please help? I've posted the submit.tpl and submit.php in the next post.

I had the same problem, and it all stems from the 'on mouseover' script. I too am waiting for a response as to how to incorporate javascript into the body of the template.

I'm not sure why, but it was worked before but it seems like it stopped working. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Mine stopped working as well. I changed hosts, but I know that I didn't change any of the code.

So you mean its to do with something on my server settings? Maybe my httpd.conf file or php ?

Thats what I would suggest, maybe you should check to see if everything still corresponds in your include/config.php

For the mod rewrite to work on my system, I had to make one change to the httpd.conf file: Change the AllowOverride None to AllowOverride All as stated below.

<Directory /pathto/web>
AllowOverride All
Options FollowSymlinks IncludesNoExec
AddType text/html .shtml
AddHandler server-parsed .shtml
Allow from all
</Directory>

Currently mod rewrite is working on my site, just that the submit form itself isn't. Also I'm a server newbie, so what are the commands in ssh to change httpd.conf?

Well I uploaded the default submit.php file and it seems to be back to working order.. but I would really not have my submit.php file looking like this.. does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks

Did you make any changes to your other submit.php file?

Yes I did its all cosmetic changes.. all I did was add html tags to the top and bottom of the script itself

I've also got a problem with the submit page. I just purchased and downloaded version 3.03 this week. When I try to Submit a Link, all I get is the message that says "You must be logged in to submit a new link." I never get the submission box. I do not get any errors.

I do have Require Registered User set to No in Admin, Enable Payments set to yes and there is a price set for Featured Price.

On the submit.tpl page, the value of $smarty.const.REQUIRE_REGISTERED_USER is 0 and $regular_user_details.ID is empty. I'm an experienced PHP programmer but have never worked with Smarty templates before. I just replaced the submit.php and submit.tpl page with those from a new download, but with the same results.

Is it possible that the current download for 3.03 is corrupted? It takes about 15 minutes to extract the file, which seems very unusual. I downloaded and tried it twice. Both times it extracted very slowly.

I'm still working on the problem. If I find it I will report the fix.

I have exactly the same probleme, but i dont think the file is corupt, it takes 10 seconds to extract the file on my computer.

Download submit.tpl from 3.0.2 and replace it with your submit.tpl, it works now. But i dont know if you can choose if registered user is required.
