StatCounter code: where should I paste it? And a good clone to recommend?

Hi there,

I just opened index.php (in phpLD) and realized that it's not the proper lace to put the statcounter code.
Is it maybe in footer.pl or?
Should I put it at the end or?

Is there another good statistic program/service that someone recommends?
Hopefully for free, and not with reciprocal link requirement.

My free Statcounter log only shows the latest 100, that's about last 6 hours, so I have to start pay to get a bigger log history, or try another by recommendations from here.

You should put it in templates/footer.tpl file above </body> tag.
