Looking for motivation

Can anybody give me some success stories with their directories. I've started a few of late, and have had some success, though not financial.

After several years and many websites, looking to build some niches, some quality websites, and last but surely not least some "passive" income.

Looking to devote most of my work days to building "local" directories, building my few and doing submissions and work for others.

Over the years i've talked to a few making great money. Most people i talk to have 30 sites, 50 more names, no plan, the next great idea, and its a money drain, or break even at best.

I would very much welcome a few people telling me, honestly, they are making a decent income off a few of their directories.

I have two directories that are not highly modded or developed that I started over a year ago that make a couple hundred dollars per month each in combination with text link brokers, adsense and paid links. It only takes a couple of hours per month to earn this income. Occasionally, I will do something extra, but mostly it is "passive" income.

I really should make them nicer, but I spend so much time helping other phpLD owners. They are Business Plexus (http://www.businessplexus.com) and Directhoo (http://www.directhoo.com/).

i am a 16 year old ... went through alot of bad times ... but never gave up and now i own a pr 5 directory (http://www.idk.in) which have an alexa of 43k ... high traffic and good revenue.

my advice is stay away from trouble ... make ur directory what you think is the best .. only listen to some people not all..

see everything what goes on and pretend to know nothing..

I created some revenues from some directories with minimum work and the potential is amazing. Opportunities are everywhere and with some creative thinking you can take advantage of them.

After one year using it, I feel ready to put more attention to: Mywebsearches.com (http://www.mywebsearches.com/) (my general directory). In my opinion know as much as you can about the directory business before investing your money.
