CloudBay is a Blue and Grey template for phpLD 3.2 with only one sponsored link required (no link to the designer required). Nice features include showing latest articles on the homepage as well as most popular categories in the right sidebar. Also to the top level categories are shown in the footer of the page.

Content visible to registered users only.
Template: CloudBay
phpLD Version: 3.2.0
Template Sponsor: Yale Directory (http://www.yaledirectory.com/)
Live Demo: DirectHoo Directory (http://www.directhoo.com/)

To download this template, please go HERE (http://www.directhoo.com/articles/article-18.html) (and click on the download button)

Special Notes: In order to show the featured links and most popular categories on the homepage of your directory you must replace the init.tpl with the one provided in the zip. Also, you may not remove the sponsored link (Yale Directory) from the template without paying for removal.

Who do we contact for link removal and/or customization of this template?

For this one, you can actually contact me. I helped with this template, and the owner hasn't setup a way to get payments yet, so if you want, just contact me for now. The link removal fee I believe is only $30.

i'm having the same issue as the other one...the header spans across my 1600x1200 display lmfao whereas the footer is set to a width of 800 or so...

I just noticed that the template homepage is validates as XHTML 1.0 Transitional :)

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.directhoo.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0 (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.directhoo.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0)

(though the submit page is not perfect)

Thanks for this template. I think I will be using it. Have some questions though.

1. There is no link in the footer....?

2. I am not getting the stats. Category count...?

3. How can I make this template 2 columns instead of 3...?

Thanks in advanced.

Tom

1. Yes, you must maintain a link in the footer to the Yale directory, or pay $30 to remove it (this is in addition to the phpLD licensing guidelines)
2. You probably did not upload init.php in in the main phpLD folder
3. THere is a place in main.tpl that says include right_side.tpl (left side too). Try removing this line.

Content visible to registered users only.

So I should add this myself. The original file did not have that link in the footer.

I thought I did that, but guess not. Thanks, it is good now.

Actually I explained myself wrong. I would like 2 category columns instead of 3.

Thanks for the reply.

Just wanted to note the CloudBay Template has been updated. The changed files are:
payment.tpl
add_reciprocal.tpl
authorized.tpl
banned_submit.tpl
This iis simply a couple of improvements. The reason for the update was the left side and right side columns were not included in the above files, so all you need to do is download the new zip file here (http://www.directhoo.com/articles/article-18.html) and then overwrite the above files in your MiddleEarth template folder. Also, please note that you must maintain a link to the Yale Directory or pay $30 for removal of the link. This is included in the footer.tpl now and should have been originally too.

If the columns for the categories cannot be set in admin, it may take some extra work on the html. I will check that now.

I checked it. I don't have the quick answer on the columns.

This is actually in the template pack in the supporters forum. I will find it and get it added to a template pack for general release soon.
