I would like to include three unique url that users may use for a reciprocal link. Could someone direct me to the area this is handled?

Hello Michael,
We don't currently support multiple recip URL's.
The section of code where it actually "looks" for the URL is located in the includes/functions.php on line 216.
It'll look like this.
Content visible to registered users only.
Thank you for choosing PHP Link Directory.

Thanks Ap0s7le,
I am not that great with php syntax, so please forgive me.
With that code, the program is looking for a link to the "Website directory (mysite.com/some folder)" where PLD is located, seeking a link to the directory category where the reciprocating site has been added, or is it grabbing data specified within the admin under "site"?
I'm experiencing some trouble with a site that links to my main page - not the PLD folder. I was trying to figure that out.

Hey Michael,
It will be easy to get a programmer to give you some direct help with your situation. Maybe you would consider giving a donation. I'll make sure everything is handled to your satisfaction.
I'm off to bed, but PM me if that would be something you would like to do.
Thanks,
David

Hello,
I would personally try going into the admin, change your site URL to just your domain. See if that helps.
I'm going to bed, let me know how it turns out if you fix it before I get back.
Thanks!

It looks like you definately have a donation coming.
I just got the db from the old directory migrated.
The script found nearly 20 broken links already. That will be a huge improvement to site quality.
I still need to try configuring my PayPal settings. I was never big on the reciprocal link concept, unless it was a similar site linking to a similar domain. I lean more towards just purchasing a link or sharing research on content sites.
Phew, validator is still going. Really nice feature.

I was given some forms by the last person that edited my directory. This was going back nearly a year.
When someone submitted a link, they where presented with two options:
1> standard placement. A form button that directed the user to paypal, knew the price, and the link that was being paid for by the ID.
2> Featured placement for a bit more. I noticed the extra db table "featured". All the entries are 0 or 1. Featured ads where presented above standard ads, on the front end.
Side-note... I don't what I did, but old directory is not working now... ouch.
Phew- all done validation. Wow, I had a lot of broken links in there...
Donations, the open-ended what's it worth to you. :)
The other program I was considering was selling for $150.00. In my opinion, the designer packed a lot of features in there that would waste server resources and have no value. They did not have a version stripped down to what I am seeking. Now I am stuck in the middle here. This one seems perfect, professonal, and userfriendly but it's missing the business side.
Would that sound like a fair deal (150.00) to integrate the PayPal (or 2co PayPal pref.) interface, a subscription price scheme (Nothing complex), and featured listings (still have the table in db)?
I would rather give the money to you, or this team, as I like the foundation better "keep it simple". It would be nice to have the recip check for URL's from different segments of the site too. In contrast, that 150 program still didn't do exactly what I am asking.

I'm sure it'll be a good decision to support PHP Link Directory as they are actively improving the application.
If I'm not wrong, the featured listing feature and payment service intergration is in the plans already.

Content visible to registered users only.
There is a little donation for you dave.
It looks like my database crashed, got to get this back up. I think I may of assigned duplicate data to the URL table for categories... Something happend.
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in ....../links/index.php on line 65
Seems to be integrating nicely. Not able to login to admin now either... hmm

Well, feel free to PM me your login info (if you are ableto do that).
I CAN help. :)
Thank you for donating. It's going right back into making the script better.

Thanks again Dave... I try and struggle through what I can, when I am motivated. I got it back-up and running.
Is there a way to update the Google PR feature. All the links are showing "N/A". I got a feeling it's from the links being migrated from the old program.
By the way, 46 links where broken. I just noticed that in the Admin.
Could someone help-out setting up a Payment scheme?
Here is what I was able to do thus far:
{removed}
I'm liking it, just would like to clone Yahoo! a bit with the featured links to the right fo the page.

I'm aware of the issue with pagerank not working after import. I will tell you that if you edit and then save a link it will update the pagerank, but obviously we can't do this on all you links. :) So hopefully we can come up with a pagerank updater (sitewide).
With regard to a payment system, the work is already underway and I expect you will see something by friday. :) (hopefully, if not, early the following week).

That sounds fantasitc Dave.
The syntax used is much different than PHP I have on other programs. I guess this is the new-world of PHP. I like the smarty feature. It's so nice being able to use Php right in a template.
Not to spin the wheels, but in addition to the Page Rank, Static pages don't work for people who migrate db, until the category is updated. I am going through each one though, not that of a deal.
With the featured sites options, may I also suggest that the admin has the power to isolate link sorting (Page Rank, Hits, Alpha). I am sure you will design something nice, but it seems that would hinder things a bit. Additionally, some people are not inclined to understand terminology used by designers and developers.
I admire the inovation used with click tracking. Recip feature seems to be working great with directory...
You guys will go far with this program...

Thanks, Michael
I hope you will pop in now and again and post here so we can keep an active support community here. And, of course, we try to listen to all of the suggestions so that we can have a great product for you.
Also, tell your friends too. :)
Thanks for the comments, but can you please explain this fragment, because I don't understand what you mean:
Content visible to registered users only.

In response to Davids explanation of adding a payment module. I am accustomed to referring to it as a Featured Listing.
The sort part, on the Links section, people browsing the directory have the option to sort links by Page Rank (if enabled, Alphabetically, or by Hits). I thought it would be nice to have the ability to turn those options off, where the site is sorted by the admins configuration.
Your Welcome.
