Introducing Combat Cameras (http://www.combatcameras.com/)

David beat me to the punch with the announcement of PHPLD Photos version 1.0.3 - with tons of enhancements and a few minor bug fixes.

I was waiting until I had a few more photos uploaded before announcing my web site - CombatCameras.com - but this latest announcement got me going.

David and his development crew have been busting ass making an awesome script even awesomer (is that a word?)

I bought this script about 2 weeks ago, had a few minor install problems (quickly fixed by David and crew) and set to work. I noticed a few minor things and reported them to David and within a day or 2 - sometimes within hours - the issues were resolved.

What I liked most - was that I could make a suggestion - and then see it implemented. My two biggest "issues" were - I wanted the EXIF description to display (content is a good thing) and I desperately needed a bulk uploader. I have thousands of pics and doing them one at a time was out of the question. When I bought this - the bulk uploader was on the near horizon and David had it ready about 3 days after I purchased and PM'd him.

Now - the nitty gritty - for those of you that are non-believers - and I know most of you are here for a Link Directory - this Photo Script kicks ass!!!

I have the following - and it will grow -

40 albums
over 9,000 pictures (more coming!)
able to bulk upload (in Admin it is called "Mass Import") - over 800 photos at once - over 590- Mb - in a matter of minutes.
Your Link Directory templates are a cinch to modify - mainly the header.tpl, footer.tpl, main.tpl and main.css - and you can make the web site your own.

The other item I asked for that was announced tonight was to make it a membership site. I am so stoked!!!! This way - I dont have to charge by picture - but can set up a membership for unlimited downloads for the duration of the sign-up.

What I really liked was that I could contact David via PM and get answers super fast. And he listened to my suggestions and implemented a couple of them. He took care of my needs - paging, membership, bulk uploading, fixed some references to PHPLD (since they are basically running off the same script), and did this without bitching.

David and his development team are top notch and extraordinarily responsive. It has been a pleasure working with David - even if I was an unintentional Beta tester!

I look forward to a continued partnership with David and hope to make this script even better than awesomer - maybe awesomest!

It's been a pleasure helping you get your site started, and you helped us by giving us valuable feedback that led to many of the improvements and new features that others users will come to enjoy.

Thanks you for posting this kind note. :)
