Greetings all,
I am considering launching my own directory using the PHP Link Directory script. I have lots of questions, and anyone who is willing to answer one or more of them, based on your own experiences, will be my her :-)
1. How much time do you spend each day on your directory?
2. How much traffic do you get daily, minus the site submission visits?
3. Does anyone actually click your AdSense units? Do you make any money off AdSense?
4. Does anyone buy your featured listings? Have you experimented with different price points for the featured listings?
More generally, I'm not that technically savvy, but I am willing to work hard. I run about 10 other websites, all of them using just basic HTML, which is, with a few minor exceptions, as far as my programming knowledge goes. I have someone who is willing to install the script for me. What I'm wondering is how difficult the setup - creating the directory structure and category pages, and inserting AdSense and other such things into the template - will be for someone with my limited coding knowledge.
Also, is there a pre-built, ready-to-use basic directory structure out there I could grab to save some time?
