Yes, I have read every thread dealing with Adsense and the KB article.

I am starting to set up my directory, am using phpLD 2.1.2 and I have tried a number of templates, and would really like to use NeatGrey V2.x.

Here is what I have done so far:

in Google_Yahoo.tpl I've created this:

Content visible to registered users only.I've done it with and without the literal tags and with and without the div tags.

I've also added the same code within the header.tpl and footer.tpl templates as experiments, and absolutely nothing appears.

As an experiment, I also edited the header.tpl file to add a set of <html> tags and an initial <head> tag to match the orphan </head> tag that is just floating around in there.

Now, the install.txt file that come with Heat Grey said:

Content visible to registered users only.Of course, there was no such file in the package.

It went on to say:
Content visible to registered users only.I've attempted various permutations of doing this, but with no avail.

On the theory that maybe the template was screwed up, I've also tried to implement adsense with Lemon Shadow 2 v1.0 and also with no templates at all.

If I had any hair at all, I would be ripping it out now.

What the *&*$# am I doing wrong? (Please type slowly, I'm obviously stupid!) :D:D:D

Ok, first, was the google_yahoo.tpl file included in the template package? Second, if not, have you added an include=google_yahoo.tpl, third, may I have the URL to your directory and the site you got that template? I've never heard of it.

1. Pateince, Google will take some time to categorize ur site, ....to which ads to show,
2. from the toolbar of your browser, select view -> source, and check if the google adsense codes are coming on ur page!
3. if youve been wrking on IE, try opening ur site on firefox,.....that would take care fo any cookie issues!
4. Ask someone else to view ur site, ....sometime that helps too!

I replied yesterday, but it may have gotten lost in the moderation process.

I took a slightly different tack. i changed templates again for azwebguide(dot)com to one that actually has the adsense code embedded, and all i had to do was to change my publisher ID.

naturally, that didn't work.

so I went to one of my fourms and noticed my ads were missing there as well -- and they were also missing from a second forum as well.

[OK, here comes the lesson]

I logged into Google and ran the Adsense utility that checks to see if there are any blocked URLs. It said there was absolutely nothing wrong, and nothing was blocked, and within 2 minutes all by adsense came back up.

Sure, major coincidence, or what.

Thanks to those that offered to help.

Now I just need to add my graphics logo and figure out how to deal with a six digit captcha, when the form only allows me to enter 5 digits.

Life is good!

Good job in getting that fixed! The captcha problem can be fixed in submit.tpl.

PM or reply to this thread for advanced help on it.
