When I search the forum to try to find an answer to a question, I frequently have to modify my search terms a couple times in order to get good results. The problem is, each time I have to wait 20 seconds between searches, which is annoyingggggggggggg. Is there any way that the delay could be decreased to, say, 10 seconds?
thanks

Thanks. :) I think it would encourange people to search for answers already posted in the forums instead of posting a new thread asking the same questions over and over again.

actually no it wouldn't.
I have tried things to encourage that and nothing works.
They usually dont even know what they should be searching for even if they could do it once every 3 seconds.
Vbulletin is not the most server load friendly script around and the 20 seconds is there for various reasons.

Haha, okay, then it would encourage *me* to search more and not ask dumb questions.

What about modding vBulletin to skip search delay for registered users - or at least users who have been members xx number days and/or have posted xx times? Bots etc. would still be subject to a search delay.

Content visible to registered users only.
I would fully support that idea of VSDan :)
Perhaps member to "v3 Supporter" forum can get that extra bit of advantage as well..... 20 Sec wait can be decreased to 10 :)
