On your category add a new link " shuffle" next to hits, pagerank,..
this will sort the links in a random order!

Is it possible to set this to shuffle as the default (such that links would appear in random order).

Not really cause this would disable your search function.

you wouldn't be able to add this option into the backend and have it part of the admin settings?

yes, that is easy...
but it messes up the search...
never looked deeper in to it because I use referrers as default sorting option
